Welcome

We build mesquite boxes, and mesquite jewelry boxes, in our custom built mesquite shop with all proceeds going to help pay the expenses of our autistic grandson. We are not a large multiple person shop, only my wife and I, but we do turn out quality products. We have established a new product line that we call "Tyler Boxes".  Tyler is our nine year old grandson.  At two years of age he was diagnosed with Autism, PDD/NOS.  If you are familiar with Autism you know it involves much specialized testing, special foods, speech treatments, occupational therapy, etc., all of which are very expensive.  We have established this website and product line of custom built mesquite boxes, and mesquite jewelry boxes, "Tyler Boxes", in Tyler's honor.  All expenses; raw materials, labor, costs of manufacturing, etc., are paid for by us with all the proceeds from the sale of the boxes going to Tyler's fund to help pay his Autism expenses.
Everything that you pay for your box will go to Tyler's expense fund, no exceptions.

Product and Prices

We have been building custom mesquite products for approximately two years now.  Our product line includes kitchen islands, computer tables, bookcases, counter and table tops, desktop organizers, and numerous sizes and designs of boxes.  We currently sell custom mesquite boxes in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and locally at the Rock Shop in Smithville, Texas.  We build any size, square or rectangle, mesquite boxes that are suitable for jewelry, treasures, knick knacks, or just to admire.  Each box is handmade of solid southwest kiln dried mesquite with brass barrel hinges.  Different grades of mesquite can be ordered.  The boxes are natural mesquite wood finished with either three coats of hand rubbed tung oil, three coats of hand rubbed linseed oil, or three coats of polyurethane.  Other finishes can be discussed and may be available.  All the knot holes, cracks, worm holes, etc., will be filled with a clear epoxy resin.  The epoxy resin can also be inlaid with turquoise, pyrite (fools gold), blue lapis, or almost any combination of stone, as available.  Laser engraving is also available at an additional fee.  We sell all boxes at a cost of $1.25 per cubic inch, (length X width X height), with a minimum charge of $50.00.  You tell us what you want and we'll build it.  Shipping charges are extra but normally run about $4.00 per box with insurance.
